Twitch Chat Commands

Twitch chat command support within Streamlux

What are chat commands?

Chat commands are another way for viewers to interact with your stream. From Twitch directly: “Broadcasters and channel moderators appointed by the broadcaster are equipped with a set of commands and features that will allow them to closely monitor and moderate the chat. These features and commands range from giving a user a quick timeout to built in anti-spam.”

How are they used within Streamlux?

Inside of the Streamlux app, users are allowed to create, delete, and customize chat commands linked directly to their Twitch account. Users are given the ability to customize details such as what role the user must have to use the command, the cooldown timer between activation, and much more. When a command has been created, the user can attach an effect, either color change or animation, to that command.

If the command is activated and a viewer enters this command into your stream chat, the linked effect will be played and change your devices accordingly.
